4 days, 3 nights Rinjani (Sembalun-Torian) trekking
Today's trip is a trek to Rinjani, located in northern Lombok. The second highest active volcano in the world, Rinjani is 3,726 meters above sea level and is designated as a national park, so we recommend trekking in a way that is as untouched as possible. On the Rinjani trek, you'll stay in tents provided by Bintang Tours in an environment free of artificial structures.
The Sembalun-Torian route is a unique trip that is only available with Bintang Tours among domestic travel agencies. Our first meeting point is Senaru. Arriving in Senaru 7 hours before sunset, we'll take a tour of the Sendang Gile Waterfall, Tiu Kelep Waterfall, and a traditional house in Senaru. (If you arrive 3 hours before sunset, you'll have to choose between the waterfall and the traditional house.) After the tour, we'll spend the night at a hotel, and the next day we'll travel to Sembalun to begin our trek. On the second day, we'll enjoy a natural hot spring bath and camping at Lake Anak, the highlight of the trek.
Only on this tour can you spend a night in a tent on Lake Anak. The parasitic volcano Gunung Baru, located in the center of the lake, offers a view unlike any other. On the final day of your Rinjani trekking tour, you'll descend through the rainforest. The biggest difference from other routes is that you'll follow a valley leading from Lake Anak, so you'll see waterfalls and waterways throughout your descent. Once you reach the village of Torian, you will be transferred directly to your next destination (Lombok region) and the tour will end.
Please note that Rinjani is closed from January to March of the year, and we do not recommend trekking in December during the rainy season.(*This tour is sold separately and does not include airfare).

FAQ
Q.When and how many people can I travel with? This tour is an a la carte product and can depart on any date of your choice.
Q. What are the pre and post trek transfers?Transfers are included in this tour. You can be picked up from anywhere in Lombok, including the airport, Bali, Kuta Lombok, Bangsal Pier, and hotels in Senaru, and dropped off at your next destination in Lombok after the trek.
Q. What is the weather like in Rinjani, Lombok and how should I dress?Lombok has a tropical climate, and like any mountainous region, the weather varies greatly, so you'll need to bring everything from short sleeves to lightweight padding. We recommend wearing several layers of thin clothing for trekking, and avoid thicker clothing that will slow down your movements. We recommend technical clothing that wicks away sweat. You'll want to pack lightweight padding, waterproof (windproof) tops and bottoms, an extra t-shirt, shorts for hot springs, trekking socks, spare hiking shoes, and wet wipes.
Q. How many people can a tent accommodate? The tents come standard for 4 people. If you have a group of people signing up together, two people will share one tent.
Q. Can I trek Rinjani all year round?Due to the gravelly nature of the trail, we do not recommend trekking in December, which is the rainy season. Also, the trail is closed from January to March.
